About me

I am originally from Kyoto, Japan where meisters established an exquisite sense of beauty over the past 1,400 years. Professionalism is at its highest form in Kyoto, and that is an unwritten code Kyotorians live by. That’s where I got my tendency to pursue excellence in everything.

I moved to New York at the age of 19 and attended The School of Visual Arts with a scholarship. It was a very cut-throat environment that made my skin a little thicker, but the funny thing is, I didn’t mind it at all. I learned that NYC is where you need to win to achieve your goals. Later in my career, it came in handy when I went to business pitches.

My transition from traditional to digital was back in 1997, as one of the very first ones who paved the road for the industry’s so-called “digital evolution” in the 2000s.

Before transforming myself into a 100% experience designer, I have done just about everything in traditional and digital media, from building brands to B2B and B2C marketing and social campaigns. I brought digital transformation to each client I served, regardless of the size of the organization.

My skills and expertise immerse not only in experience design but in a more holistic digital experience including social media, inbound marketing, SEO/SEM, CRM.

In my spare time, I volunteer for the NY/NJ Trail Conference maintaining hiking trails around the Hudson Valley.
